Losing his Cool

[kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/okKYSSRQodQ" width="425" height="350" wmode="transparent" /]BBC Panorama are broadcasting a programme tomorrow night highlighting a number of disturbing facts about the Church of Scientology. I hope I can watch the programme I think it will be interesting. It would appear that the BBC veteran reporter John Sweeney lost his cool with the people from the church. Here is a disturbing clip of Sweeney, who appears to just loose the plot. It may be that guy was just so frustrated with the representatives of the church that he blew up. Have a look at the incident as posted on You Tube. It would appear the Church of Scientology are milking this for all its worth.

Those people scare me.

Some could argue that from an outsiders view that their beliefs are no more bizarre than ours, what with burning bush’s and spontaneous healing as well as walking on water and the like.  That of course is where the element of faith comes in, and not where my worries lie with them.  They have their faith, we have ours.

My worries are the way they don’t tell people about “The Incident” up front.  where you yourself will actively minister about the miracles of Christ(and more) to anyone who asks about them, even on the street.  The Sci’s will demand a person pay a LOT of money to progress up the “levels” of their organisation to learn more about their faith.

Quite honestly it is a pyramid scheme with a cult attached to it, and it caters towards those disenchanted with mainstream religion.

There is a very good episode of the coarse adult comedy “South Park” which actually explores the whole issue of “The Incident” and Scientology.  It’s called “Trapped in the Closet”.

Also here is the BBC reporters rebuttal about the clip and advertisement about tonights show.
