More power to the elbow

Well what can I say. Sorry about no posts over the last few days. This is because I have had an ice accident on Monday and I don't even play ice hockey. There I was rushing to get into the office with my mac under my arm and the next thing I feel every bone in my old tired body being shaken up. I now know what Elvis meant when he sang "All Shook up" I tell you I was shaken and truly stirred. Now Adam our Gapper has been on a First Aid course but he didn't take charge. He came out had a look at me as white as a corpse and suggested blankets. Neil who opened the door thought ah! he's desperate for the loo, as I came in clutching my arm laptop and iphone. However he kindly re-assured me and got a sling for the arm. By this time I thought I'm for it I'm passing out and I'm not on parade. Lilias thought he always drinks tea that will sort him. But nothing could mend the elbow. I was off to A and E and a big plaster. However tomorrow it's back to Stirling to get a pin in it. So you see all this brings me to the title of this piece, it gives a whole new meaning to the phrase " more power to your elbow!" or have you heard "Albert's just got the elbow!"

Dear Albert, all the very best to you! Wonder whether it was a case of bending over backwards to much…

Just an hour ago a young woman, my dogs and I had to pick up an old lady just having left her doctor’s surgery. She was walking home just round the corner (to be received by her extremely elderly husband) using a zimmer frame - the zimmer frame remaining upright she still slipped on some ice and fell. Perhaps you should go for angelic wings or a rocket pack?

Poor old you.  Sorry to hear this.  I’ll tell Him Indoors, who’s been moaning about his tennis elbow.  By the sound of things, ice elbow is considerably worse!

Hi Albert

We will be praying for you - hope it doesn’t hurt too much, and we also hope you will be well enough for the WWW conference.

Get well soon, Albert.  No laughing matter, but leave the guitar alone for a few days.  Jim x

I was wondering when you were going to put a post up about your accident.  Don’t worry about tomorrow, you’ll be fine, the doctors and nurses will take very good care of you and of course we are all praying for you too. You’ll be back to your laptop and iphone in no time smile

Think we were all in shock too to tell you the truth, it was not a pretty sight seeing you white as a sheet.

Just take it easy tomorrow, everything mends in its own time.  Praying all goes well tomorrow for your op.

:o)
