Over the last few weeks i've been working with the team that is promoting and developing Sanctuary First. Sanctuary First continues to be as always morphing into a new experimental period. For a number of years many of you will know  we in Bo'ness St Andrew's have been exploring how we can use the internet to create a worshippimg community. We have in fact been partially successful. I'm delighted to know Helmut in Hamburg and Gerry in Bournemouth and a good many others in their scores who log on to our weekly worship.  However i feel there is a great  deal more we can learn about creating internet church community and Sanctuary First I believe is the vehicle to help us develop our ideas.

It is our intention over the next few months to try and create a worship experience that has been designed specifically for people on the move. Its interesting the Apostle Paul once wrote to the Thessalonians about being on the move. He told them 'to pray without ceasing'. I think that is what Sanctuary First is all about. Its trying to create a space online where people can connect and converse with God in moments of down time.

Our hope would be that in doing so even in our busiest moments our attitudes would be so influenced by what we see and read on Sanctuary First. We know that we can talk with God anywhere and we don't need props. However we are human beings and we also know while we don't need the props the props can become the promps that remind us of the importance of sustaining our faith on a daily basis. We need to learn what it means to "feed on Christ in our hearts by faith with thanksgiving'

In order to make this prompt happen we want the prompt to use the mobile devices that most of us carry about with us. So we are exploring the possibility of a Sanctuary First App. This will cost a bit of money, especially the monthly hosting fee but I'm confident we will find the money we need to carry this out.

We hope to broadcast the making and recording of the worship service on Sunday 29 September at 3.00pm here in St Andrew's Bo'ness with a live worshipping community. However we plan to  record it in such a way that it will be able to downloaded in three minute sections . This means that people on the move will be able to engage with the content in short bursts as they move about doing their daily chores. 

Please pray for the team as they prepare for this new direction of Sanctuary First. Pray for the new desined web page which will all a greater flexibility to searchj for [ast video clips and prayers.
