This week at church we are thinking through the theory and practice of forgiveness. The above film clip is a moving and challeging study in the whole area of repentance and forgiveness. It would be worth a Study group meeting to discuss the implications of this story. The Study groups are going to be discussing what it means to step out and actually journey on the road to forgiveness. I'm especially interested in the clip from the 1980s film "TheĀ Mission" i notice Gaget Vicar makes a mention of it on his blog last week. it is a fantastic movie and of course the bit where Capt Mendoza finds his burden cut away by the very people he tried to sell into slavery is a wonderful example of grace.
