The World From My Doorstep

I'm looking to enlist the help of my readers. We are needing over 25 prayers to appear within the next day or two. Can you help? Sanctuary First is an amazing website that we service from St Andrew's Bo'ness. During the month of August we have chosen "Prayer from my doorstep" as a theme. The idea is that we will collate prayers from all around the world. Prayers by ordinary people, as they look out of their door and see a factory or rooftops, or noisy traffic, or calming water. Whatever they see they have to write a prayer about the scene. it could be short or long, but not too long. I think it will be a bit of fun, but more than that a wonderful eye opener. If you have a picture and a prayer send it to david@sanctusmedia.com Lord, I painted the door In front of you, I screwed on the knocker twenty years ago, but the handle was always there. Few ever build a house from scratch. I laid the slabs on the path, but the tree is yours, Lord. Did you know it's a Laburnum tree? Of course you did. You can see wooden garages, on the other side of the wall, across the road. I remember Margaret kept her car in one. It was a grey 1970s fiat Two or three times a week she'd visit her brother. He had been in hospital for over 70 years. I always think of her when I see the garages. Her brother's long gone, So has she, Yet it was an amazing act of loyalty and commitment to a brother. 70 years of visiting a mental hospital. The plumber has his yard just behind the garages Its handy when the pipes freeze Or the central heating gives up. When I see the plumber's building I remember his phone number its the same as ours except for the last digit. Its funny the things you remember when you see a building. In the distance is the Crown Steeple of Craigmailen Church A very Scottish steeple design. Its just like St Giles in Edinburgh Only not so elaborate. The Church in the distance says it all. The steeple in the shape of a crown reminds me of your claim on me Lord. The Crown Rights of the Redeemer When I open my door I see the steeple. Everything in heaven and earth is yours from knockers to plumbers to trees Lord , Forgive me when I neglect to acknowledge Your Kingship Even when I see the symbol everyday from my doorstep.
