Over the next few Sundays the themes of Sunday worship will centre around the stories of creation in the Bible. In the morning services we will seek to find a Christian response to the seemingly hopeless misuse of the earth's resources. In the evening services we will start a new series centred around the importance of work and its purpose in our lives. This has been a pretty busy week for all of us in and around St Andrew's. A lot of busy people trying to catch up with themselves. After all the years I've spent in ministry I've never been invited to a 100th birthday party. However all that will change today as I hope to attend the birthay of Mary Keel who is our oldest member of the congregation. Mary is a wonderful Christian lady. Sometimes in ministry, (by ministry I mean all those who are involved in some way or another in serving others in the name of Christ), you wake up in the morning knowing that there are things to be done and not enough time to do them. There are people to see, situations to pray about and you have to make decisions who to see and who to re-schedule.
