Here I am on a train again heading home after visiting a joint BB Camp just outside Aviemore. So what of the Order of the Thistle? This was a very interesting Service to attend. The Dean of the Thistle in his short address reminded His Royal Highness Prince William to devote his life to the honour of God, to the maintenance of Christ's most holy Evangel,( in other words the gospel), and to the Service of Her Majesty the Queen. All this is a highlights that at the heart of our Monarchy is a wonderful Christian heritage.

Today is the tale of two cities. Glasgow was the morning and Edinburgh was the afternoon. I caught the 8.49 am train into Glasgow and then made my way to the Cathedral to be briefed about the forthcoming Jubilee Service this Wednesday. Its going to be quite a big affair. The television cameras will be there and the service will be broadcast on BBC 2 from 10.30am onwards. I'm looking forward to the service. What an amazing day we experienced on Friday. This of course was Martha's day. She was the one being honoured by our community as she crowned the Bo'ness Fair Queen.It all started with a pipe band marching into our driveway. When was the last time someone said to you, "Look there's a pipe band playing in your driveway?"

People ask do you get time off when your Moderator? The answer is of course you do. When your on the road its pretty intensive but you also have some down time. I've been enjoying taking some of that time to relax and make some music.
Hopefully we'll have a very simple but I hope classy album of acoustic songs released in time for the Moderator's fringe event. This will take place at Palmerston Place Church on Sunday 12 August and Monday 13 August both events...
